LAS VEGAS – Top Rank head Bob Arum is travelling to Los Angeles Tuesday to meet with Manny Pacquiao, discuss his future and check on his right shoulder injury following a unanimous decision loss to Floyd Mayweather.
“My primary concern now is to check on Manny’s injury and let doctors take a look at it,” Arum said on Sunday. “I am not a doctor but an injury like that could require rehabilitation and it would sideline him for a few months.”
When asked about the possibility of a rematch sometime in September, Arum wasn’t sure if it would be feasible.
Mayweather said he will fight one last time in September, the last of a six-fight deal with Showtime but hasn’t selected an opponent yet. (Nick Giongco)
