Drug pusher killed

CAMP OLIVAS, PAMPANGA – An alleged drug pusher was killed while a policeman was wounded in a shootout following a buy-bust operation before dawn Thursday in Barangay San Roque, Sta. Ana, Pampanga.

Chief Supt Rudly Lacadin, regional police director, said suspect Michael Lapuz alias Mike, a resident of Barangay Mesulo, Arayat, this province, died on the spot after he traded shots with operatives of Pampanga Provincial Intelligence Branch and Sta. Ana Municipal Police Station.

During the shootout, SPO1 Ireneo Bacallo sustained a bullet wound in the left breast and was rushed to the nearest hospital.

Police recovered from the slain suspect a .9mm pistol with magazine loaded with four bullets, four heat-sealed plastic sachets containing shabu and the marked money used in the entrapment.
