The National Capital Region Police Office is on full alert status for the opening of classes on Monday.
An estimated 2.6 million students are expected to return to school in Metro Manila.
Chief Insp. Kimberly Molitas, NCRPO spokesperson, said public assistance desks will be established to ensure order from the street to the school premises as robbery and theft cases usually go up during the opening of classes.
“Our focus is on the setting up of public assistance desks which will address all the concerns of the students which include bullying,” said Molitas.
Molitas said almost all of the 18,000 uniformed personnel of the NCRPO will be deployed for the school opening. They will be posted outside the school premises. (Aaron B. Recuenco)
