2 women ‘salvaged’ in Manila

Police are now investigating the death of two unidentified women whose bodies were found near Paco Park in Ermita, Manila, at about 3:20 a.m. yesterday.

Police Officer 3 Marlon A. San Pedro, case investigator, described the first fatality as 25 to 30 years old, 5’2 in height and clad in a t-shirt, maong short pants and slippers. The second one about 25 to 30 years old, 4’11 tall, has a hello kitty tattoo on her right arm, and another tattoo of a girl on the left, and wearing black jump suit and Jordan slippers.

Prior to the discovery of the bodies, a security guard of National Parks Development Committee (NPDC) heard gunshots in the area.

He later found the bloodied bodies of the victims. He immediately told the nearby police station of the incident.

Responding police said the women sustained several gunshot wounds in the body. Their eyes and mouths were covered with duct tape and their hands were tied with cable.

No one among the crowd could give a good account about the incident, police said.

The cadavers were brought to St. Rich Funeral Homes for autopsy examination.

The motive behind the killing has yet to be determined, police said. (Analou De Vera)
