SIGNING ’EM UP – How wonderful to know that Regal is once more very active in filmmaking, just like in the late ’70s and throughout the ’80s and early ’90s. Then Regal had the biggest actors, directors, writers, and other film artists. Regal produced the finest movies then.
Mother Lily Monteverde and daughter Roselle are busy signing up actors, led by Piolo Pascual who’s topbilling “Once Upon a Lifetime,” in partnership with Star Cinema and the actor’s movie production.
Also signed up with the so-called “The Millennial Regal Babies”: Chanel Morales, David Licauco, Danielle Lee, and Jerico Ejercito (son of former Laguna Gov. E.R. Ejercito).
All four are talents of Arnold Vegafria.
The latest to be signed up by Regal is Derrick Monasterio.
Yes, more and more actors will join Regal in the future.

MMFF ’16 HOPEFULS – Of course, Mother Lily and Roselle hope to join this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival with “Mano Po 7: Tsinoy,” topbilled by Richard Yap and an “armada” of stars with Chinese blood.
Heard that Regal is also submitting for MMFF consideration two other titles: “Our Mighty Yaya,” starring Ai-Ai de las Alas, and “Puwera Usog.”
Would you believe that no less than 50 movies are eyeing this years’ MMFF. But only eight official entries (indie and mainstream) are being selected.
