INSPIRED BY MA’AM CHARO: Behind such a tongue twister of a first name is a serious student, cosplayer, Samahang Kabataan president, PBB Big Winner, actress, TV host, courtside reporter, recording artist and songwriter.
From a simple hometown girl in Iloilo, Myrtle Sarrosa widens her range each day with her multifarious activities. Yet she maintains that being a Broadcast Communication senior in UP Diliman is her top priority. Despite her conflicting schedules and various callings, Myrtle doesn’t want to be distracted from her academic goal. She is a candidate for honors, cum laude, if luck holds.
Myrtle says she’s inspired by the success of former ABS-CBN President Charo Santos-Concio, who rose from the ranks – production assistant, actress, line producer, network president. Someday, she hopes to follow in her example. Like Myrtle, Charo’s background is Communication Arts – from St. Paul College.

SISTER ACT: Media met up with Myrtle Sarrosa at the launch of Sisters sanitary napkin and pantyliner, which she endorses. She comes after Maja Salvador, another actress she admires for her good acting.
Myrtle said she’s fortunate to be associated with Sisters, whose mother company shares the same vision and passion she has for education. Against all odds, Myrtle wants to finish college, no matter how hard it gets sometimes.
Megasoft Hygenic Products Inc., makers of Sisters Sanitary Napkins and Pantyliners recently launched “Sisters’ School Is Cool” with Myrtle as campaign ambassador.
The campaign recognizes outstanding students and teachers of different schools around the country. It aims to inspire students to finish school, a step closer to fulfilling their dreams.
Recently, the first set of Sisters’ Choice Awards was handed out in Norala High School, South Cotabato. It was followed by a similar presentation in Gingoog City Comprehensive School in Misamis Oriental.
“Sisters’ School Is Cool” will visit Davao and Negros Occidental very soon.
