Manzano, Geisler test negative for drugs

Actors Luis “Lucky” Manzano and Baron Geisler have joined the long-list of celebrities who were cleared for illegal drugs.

“Magiging honest na po ako… Di ko kayang magsinungaling sa mga nagmamahal sa akin… Oo… Positive po ako sa test.

Ang kaso ko raw ay: ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A HANDSOME FACE,” said Manzano in an Instagram post, following his voluntary drug test.

Manzano, 35, even posted a copy of the result signed by Superintendent Victor Drapete, chief, chemistry division. He was tested at the Philippine National Police headquarters at Camp Crame in Quezon City.

Manzano is the son of Governor Vilma Santos-Recto of Batangas and actor Edu Manzano. He hosts the popular Kapamilya game shows “Family Feud” and “Minute to Win It.” He is the rumored boyfriend of actress Jessy Mendiola.

Geisler, 34, also underwent voluntary testing and proved negative for drugs.

In his Facebook, Geisler said: “Thanks to Kowboy for bringing a drug test kit. I tested negative by the way, I know everyone is wondering about me, I’m fine and good. I think this is a great idea for everyone to have, just in case anyone is accused on line or by the police.” He was referring to Kowboy Santos, son of 1970s pop icon Sampaguita.

Recently, Star Magic, the training and management subsidiary of ABS-CBN, ordered a supervised and voluntary drug test for its artists to dispel rumors for drugs.

“Star Magic has just conducted a supervised and voluntary drug test for 40 of its artists to belay rumors of drug use in its community. Results were 100% negative for Jake Cuenca, Enrique Gil, Diego Loyzaga and the rest of Star Magic artists,” part of its official statement read.

“Star Magic believes in the efforts of the current campaign to keep our homes and working environments drug free,” the statement added.

President Rodrigo Duterte has said that he already has a list of celebrities allegedly involve in illegal drugs.

After the government’s anti-drugs drive in the police, justice and local government sectors, the campaign is now focused on celebrities.

In August, RX 93.1 disc jockey Karen Bordador was arrested in a drug bust operation with her boyfriend Emilio Lim.
