Seven Chinese were arrested in a clandestine shabu laboratory in a hog farm in Sitio Kabayong Sarul, Barangay San Ildefonso, Magalang, Pampanga Tuesday.
Authorities identified the suspects as Alvin Wang, Philip Chang, Wang Shi You, Lieu Wang, Susan Wang, Xia Po Chang, and Sonny At, all residents of Xiamen, China.
The police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency conducted the raid based on a search warrant issued by Judge Johnmuel Mendoza of the Regional Trial Court in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.
The raid was also the result of week long surveillance after authorities received information on the suspicious presence of several unidentified men in the hog farm registered to a certain “Jay Wong.”
Chemicals and equipment used in manufacturing shabu were seized in the laboratory. Also seized in the laboratory was a considerable shabu apparently ready for distribution. (Freddie G. Velez)
