PNP E. Visayas ready for Kerwin’s arrival

CAMP RUPERTO KANGLEON, Palo, Leyte – Security preparations are now being laid down by the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Eastern Visayas for the arrival of suspected Eastern Visayas drug lord Rolan “Kerwin” E. Espinosa who was arrested the other day in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

While no date of Espinosa’s arrival has been set, PNP Eastern Visayas Operations Chief Sr. Supt. Domingo Cabillan said they will already be assigning Leyte Police Office Provincial Director Sr. Supt. Franco Simborio and Albuera, Leyte Police Head Chief Inspector Jovie Espinido to meet the high-profile fugitive once the beleaguered son of Albuera Mayor Rolando Espinosa, Sr. planes in to Tacloban City en route to Leyte.

The younger Espinosa is facing drugs and firearms charges in Regional Trial Court Branch 14 while his father recently pleaded not guilty to two criminal complaints stemming from the August 10 and 11 raid on their compound that resulted in the confiscation of around P88 million worth of shabu and 23 assorted firearms and ammunition.
