Former PBA player TY Tang is doubly blessed.
Named recently as coach of College of St. Benilde, the former Rain or Shine guard got another piece of good news when Mighty Sports offered to help him bring respectability back to the Blazers.
Aside from sponsoring their playing and practice uniforms, Mighty Sports president Dr. John Sy said they are willing to help the amiable ex-Xavier School star in every step of the way like discovering and nurturing new talents.
“We in Mighty Sports will do everything to make Tang’s coaching career a success. We knew him since his Xavier days and we are very excited for him as he take a new path in his career,” said Sy.
“If we have to go to the provinces to be able to find fresh talents then will do that,” said Sy.
Tang, who made his first practice session with the Blazers last week, was overjoyed with the blessings he received before Christmas.
“Big gifts before Christmas,” uttered Tang, who has won championships with La Salle in the UAAP in 2007 and Rain Or Shine in the PBA in 2012. “With Mighty Sports already reaching out, I and my coaching staff will do everything to realize their dream of playing in the pro league some day.”
While he’s aware that his task of turning CSB’s fortune is too difficult, Teng believes that with the help of Mighty Sports and other friends they can achieve their goal.
“Here in the CSB, we don’t only see and nurture their talents, but we also make sure that it would open doors or opportunities with their lives after basketball,” said Tang. “It’s a perfect combination of ensuring them of a bright future after their college days and when they start facing the real world,” added Tang.
CSB was a big disappointment, especially last season when the Blazers won only once in 18 games.
The School’s best finish under former coach came three years ago when they wound up fifth with an 11-7 (win-loss) record.
Just about all of what you say happens to be supprisingly accurate and it makes me wonder the reason why I had not looked at this in this light previously. This article really did turn the light on for me as far as this topic goes. Nevertheless at this time there is actually one particular position I am not really too comfy with and while I make an effort to reconcile that with the central theme of your issue, permit me observe exactly what the rest of your readers have to say.Nicely done.
