3 foreign fugitives nabbed in Cebu

Bureau of Immigration (BI) agents have arrested three foreign fugitives who have been staying for quite some time in Cebu and are all wanted for various crimes in their respective countries.

American Peter Alan Towle, 61 years old, was arrested inside his unit at the MS Uptown Apartelle along Rahmann Street, Cebu City.

United States embassy records reveal that Towle is a convicted pedophile who was ordered re-arrested by a California court in 2013 for his failure to register as a sex offender. He was previously convicted on charges of engaging in lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 years old.

42-year-old Korean Choi Ki Young, wanted for violating Korea’s national sports promotion act and his countryman han Dae Sung, 48, who is being pursued for a string of fraud cases, were both nabbed in Mandaue City and Cebu City, respectively. (Jun Ramirez)
