Expelled INC members moved to Taguig jail

Expelled Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) member Angel Manalo and two others accused of possessing loose firearms were transferred to Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig, yesterday morning.

Manalo, his nephew Victor Eraño “Jem” Manalo-Hemedes, their fellow expelled member Jonathan Ledesma were brought to the custody of Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) around 8 a.m. yesterday after almost two weeks of temporary detention at the Quezon City Police District headquarters in Camp Karingal.

QCPD director Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar said they received on Thursday the commitment orders from Judge Luisito Cortez of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 84 directing their transfer to Camp Bagong Diwa.

The three were charged with illegally possession of firearms and ammunition after they yielded six high-powered guns during a raid in their residence at No. 36 Tandang Sora Avenue, Barangay Culiat, last March 2.
