Dancesports: Enriquez, Publico emerge 1st quarter champions

The pair of German Enriquez and Ma. Danella Renee Publico and Gerald Jamili and Cherry Clarice Parcon ruled the 2017 DanceSports Council of the Philippines Inc. (DSCPI) First Quarter Ranking and Competition recently at the Philsports Multi-Purpose Arena (Ultra), Pasig City.

Enriquez and Publico bested Tristan John and Willanne Rose Ducay to clinch the grade A standard title, while Jamili and Parcon defeated Michael Angelo Marquez and Stephanie Sabalo to take home the grade A latin crown.

John Rey Escartin and Angelica Gabriel, meanwhile, secured the grade B standard title by defeating Alfredo Suarez and Marilou Nuñez in the quarterly tournament organized by DSCPI President Becky Garcia.

The event was sponsored by Philippine Sports Commission, Philippine Olympic Committee, Flawless, Organique/Acai Berry, Aficionado, Caruso Ristorante Italiano, Studio 116 Dance School, Retro DCG-FM 105.9 and The Greenery Bulacan.

In other results, John-John Roman and Dawn Daniel Christine Pavo won over Filemon Baguio II and Jhistine Glyde Baguio for the grade B latin title, while John Rey Escartin and Angelica Gabriel beat Jose Michael Angelo Cabarles and Elishama Jepphunee Dunton for grade C standard trophy.

Shardie Abellana and Marjorie Pasaje won over Shaquille Jay Hanz Basan and Cindy Jaz Basan to gain the grade C latin crown. Jose Michael Angelo Cabarles and Elishama Jepphunee Dunton defeated Raul Acosta, Jr. and Juliet Rabino to clinch the grade D standard crown.

Justine Nories Bautista and Charmane Pasco beat John Laurence Orboc and Christine Jane Tejano to secure the grade D latin title while Ralph Kevin Lapaz and Mitchloni Dinauanao won over John Niño Custodio and Leian Sumulong for the juvenile 2 A standard crown.
