Samsung C9 Pro Review: A mid-range phablet worth considering

by Brian Joseph Patrick N. Yalung

samsung-C9Samsung has been delivering impressive devices, including large handsets which most refer to as phablets. The Samsung Galaxy Note series and Galaxy S Plus variants have hogged the spotlight, both carrying a premium price.

Samsung does have other product lines on its end such as the C-series. These are models normally catering to the mid-range market though the model lineup still carries the classy features and specs. In short, the only drawback is the brand recall that most easily associate with the Galaxy Note and S-series.

The Samsung Galaxy C series does have some sensible devices and one that could draw plenty of attention is the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro. At first, it seems to be an odd device in the mix since it takes the mold of a phablet that deceivingly seems high-end.

Looks can be deceiving

For critics, the true story of the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is from within. The internal specs and performance will vary thought its price makes it an affordable phablet to consider. Hence, folks who want a device with a large screen and unmindful of the weight, this is one that could work.

The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro features a 6-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display and runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 chipset. It also comes with 6 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal storage (expandable up to 256 GB via microSD), a 16 MP main camera and a front-facing 16 MP camera. It comes with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box and banks on power needs via the non-removable 4,000 mAh battery.

Like most devices out in the market, other supporting features of the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro include a fingerprint sensor, fast battery charging and stereo speakers.

Classy and Snazzy

From the list of specs and considering that the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is technically a mid-ranger, the phablet is an impressive piece that will throw anyone off. Features are equally impressive though quality rendering will still be at the hands of the person who gets to try it out before deciding to buy.

Like most of Samsung’s phones, the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro comes in different color variants. That includes gold, pink and black, giving potential buyers the freedom to choose their style. Aesthetics and functionality are satisfied with the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro, within reach and recommended for the level-headed consumers.
