Illegally parked trucks inalis sa Road 10

Pinaalis kahapon ang lahat ng illegally parked trucks at iba pang sasakyan sa kahabaan ng Road 10 – mula Zaragosa Street hanggang Smokey Mountain – sa Tondo, Manila.

Ang pag-impound sa mga nakahambalang sasakyan ay bahagi ng anti-illegal parking at pro-economic drive ng Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB).

Sinabi ni MTPB chief Dennis Alco-reza na ang traffic jams sa R-10 ay nakakaantala at nakakasagabal sa operation ng container trucks na nagdadala ng vital goods mula sa Port of Manila patungo sa iba’t ibang lugar sa loob at labas ng bansa.

“This road is very critical with regards to trade and commerce in the Port Area. ‘Di lang ‘to anti-illegal parking operation but also a ‘pro-economic progress’ drive,” pahayag ni MTPB chief Dennis Alcoreza.

Ayon sa kaniya, karamihan sa mga ilegal na nakaparada sa naturang daanan ay cargo at trailer trucks na nag-ooperate sa labas ng Manila North at Manila South harbors at Manila International Container Terminal (MICT).

“Mayor Erap has instructed us to declare the entire stretch of R-10 a ‘No Parking’ zone, meaning any vehicle we see parked on the sidewalk and curb will be towed away immediately,” Alcoreza said. (Jaimie Rose R. Aberia)
