Meantime, Draymond Green appears to be taking some shots at the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Green wore a t-shirt at Thursday’s (Friday, Manila time) championship parade and rally in Oakland, California that read, “Quickie,” with the “Q’’ styled to mimic the Cavaliers arena, which is referred to as The Q. Green told NBC Bay Area the shirt reflected the Warriors quick win over the Cavaliers.
“The Q, that’s what those guys’ arena is called. Got ’em outta here quick with the trophy – Quickie,” said Green, who maintained that this was all in jest as he remains pals with LeBron James off the court.
“You know, I can’t forget the Ultimate Warrior shirt last year from LeBron,” he added. “And, you know, the 3-1 tombstone cookies, and all of that. So I was waiting on this moment. But definitely my guy. That’s family.”
The Warriors beat James and the Cavaliers in five games in the Finals.
However, at a rally after the parade, Green continued to mock James’ contention that he had never played for a super team. Green said James had started the super team concept.
“Super team this, super team that. ‘I never played on a superteam.’ You started the superteam, bro,” he said. (AP)
