PVL: Vice Co outlasts IEM spikers

Vice Co bucked a marathon first set loss to beat Instituto Estetico Manila, 28-30, 25-21, 25-23, 25-16, yesterday in the men’s division of the 2018 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at The Arena in San Juan City.

Richard Solis and John Paul Bugaoan paced the Blockbusters with 17 and 13 points, respectively, including a combined 22 hits and six blocks.

The victory was Vice Co’s second in three outings, forging a two-way tie at the helm with the Phoenix Volley Masters.

Jude Garcia and Redijohn Paler also stepped up with 10 points apiece for the Blockbusters, who provided a strong defensive wall at the net with 11 team blocks.

Paler and Rikko Mamerto also provided cover on the floor with combined 15 digs, while Owen Suarez had 29 excellent sets.
