PBA D-League: Che’Lu shoots for semis berth

By Jerome Lagunzad

Che’Lu Bar and Grill seeks to get back on track and clinch the first semifinals seat against also-ran AMA Online Education today in the resumption of the 2018 PBA D-League Foundation Cup action at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Tip off is at 1 p.m., with the Revellers determined to regain their winning form after absorbing a 91-83 defeat to Marinerong Pilipino last Monday that put an end to their five-game winning streak and prevented them from making a quick entry to the next round.

While heady playmaker Jeff Viernes and bruisers Jessie Collado and JayR Taganas are expected to provide solid numbers, all eyes will be on former TNT backup Levi Hernandez, who is keen on redeeming himself following a so-so debut last time.

Still, the Revellers are favored to repeat a 111-95 first-round victory over the Titans, who will bank on hardworking big man Andre Paras, Owen Graham and Domark Matillano.

Meanwhile, Centro Escolar University and resurgent Batangas-EAC tangle in the opener at 11 a.m. in what could be a decisive encounter for a playoff spot.
