Ex-solon’s son nabbed in buy-bust

ILIGAN CITY – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 10 arrested Erik Dominique “Bojie” Badelles, son of former Rep. Alipio “Tikbong” Badelles, in a buy-bust operation at his residence in Barangay Pala-o here Friday.

Erik has been in the original PDEA target list and considered a high-value target since four years ago when he was arrested for possession of shabu. A case was filed against him but was dismissed.

Seized from Erik were six heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing more or less six grams with an estimated market value of R50,000, drug paraphernalia, and the R1,000 buy bust money.

Erik was taken to the PDEA RO 10 office for further investigation and proper disposition.

Meanwhile, two suspected drug pushers were killed in a shootout with police anti-narcotics operatives in a buy-bust operation in Polomolok, South Cotabato Thursday.

Chief Insp. Alex Joe Orcajada, Polomolok police chief, identified the suspects as Abdul Diok Magalino and Oliver Tejero.

The suspects resisted arrest by firing at lawmen conducting the operation in Barangay Magsaysay. Police returned fire, killing the suspects.

Orcajada tagged the suspects as notorious drug traffickers belonging to a local drug network operating in the locality. (Bonita Ermac and Joseph Jubelag)
