READ somewhere (Xinhuanet) that eating one orange per day can help improve one’s vision. It can actually prevent blurred vision.

This was according to a study conducted by Australia-based Westmead Institute for Medical Research. The study surveyed more than 2,000 Australian adults from the time they were 50 years old up to the time they hit age 65, or through a 15-year period.

It was found that people who ate at least one orange a day every day experienced more than 60 per cent reduced risk of having blurred vision.

Flavonoids in orange is said to help prevent macular degeneration.

TRIVIA PA MORE (Various Sources):

Turkeys can blush.

When turkeys are scared or excited – like when a male sees a female they’re interested in – the pale skin on their head and neck turns bright red, blue, or white. The flap of skin over their beaks, called a “snood,” also reddens.

Cows don’t have upper front teeth. They do have molars in the top back of their mouths, though. Where you’d expect upper incisors, cows, sheep, and goats have a thick layer of tissue called a “dental pad.” They use that with their bottom teeth to pull out grass.

There were active volcanoes on the moon when dinosaurs were alive.

Most of the volcanoes probably stopped erupting one billion years ago, but new NASA findings suggest there might still have been active lava flow 100 million years ago, when dinosaurs were still roaming earth.

Ang X sa X’mas (short for Christmas) ay mula sa mga Greko. The Greek word for Christ is Xristos.
