CEBU CITY – Four persons were arrested when agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas raided a suspected drug den in Barangay Candulawan, Talisay City, Cebu at dawn yesterday.
One of the arrested persons was Roland Bacacho, who allegedly owned the hut that was frequented by drug users, the PDEA Region 7 said.
Also arrested were Martin Catubig, Rodulfo Caputrano Jr., and Anthony del Mar, who were allegedly caught transacting with Bacacho when PDEA Region 7 agents swooped in.
The PDEA Region 7 said packs of suspected shabu worth P81,600 were seized from the suspects.
In Cebu City, a 20-year-old man yielded at least five kilos of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Duljo Fatima last Friday night.
The shabu seized from Raven Donza was worth at least P30 million, police said.
“We are congratulating the police for another successful operation. This should serve as a warning to illegal drug peddlers that they should stop with their illegal activities because the police are really serious in running after them,” said Cebu City Councilor Dave Tumulak, head of the city council’s committee on public order and safety and deputy mayor for police matters.
