Malacañang said yesterday that the video alleging former Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte’s involvement in the illegal drugs trade is just mere black propaganda.
Presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo made the statement after the almost seven-minute video circulating on social media claimed that the presidential son is linked to the illegal drugs trade.
“Obviously a black propaganda,” Panelo said.
“Just like the other false narratives against the President, it will not succeed as the overwhelming majority of the Filipino people trust his sincerity and fidelity to his duty as President in serving and protecting the citizenry as well as believe in his incorruptibility,” he said.
“PRRD’s enemies and detractors will always try to discredit him but they are doomed to fail,” he added.
The video was uploaded on YouTube on April 1. It is said to be the first episode of a series titled “Ang Totoong Narco List.”
In the video, a male narrator revealed a list of code names allegedly being used by principals and their kickbacks which were deposited in the bank accounts of the supposed drug lords.
The narrator made the connection to Paolo Duterte after the code name “POLODELTA-TSG01” topped the list. He said this was the presidential son based on his initials. (Argyll Geducos)
