The International Shotokan Karatedo Federation (ISKF) has appointed Danilo “Bong” Mojica as Country Director for the Philippines effective immediately.
The ISKF is one of the world’s largest Shotokan Karatedo organizations. It was founded in 1977 by Sensei Teruyuki Okazaki, one of the first Japanese instructors sent abroad from Japan, to propagate the art of traditional karatedo.
Sensei Okazaki was a direct student of Master Gichin Funakoshi, widely considered as the father of modern karatedo.
“We are happy to have Sensei Bong Mojica as our representative in the Philippines to continue to maintain the ISKF’s high standard of instruction in the Philippines. It is also our wish to expand membership across the country,” said Shihan Hiroyoshi Okazaki, chairman and chief instructor of the ISKF worldwide.
