The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Regional Office-National Capital Region and the police seized six kilograms of suspected shabu worth P40.8 million and arrested three alleged drug personalities during a buy-bust operation in Parañaque City last Friday.
PDEA agents nabbed Hamodine E. Ibrahim, 26, tricycle driver, and the subject of the operation, and his cohorts Datunot M. Magelna, 22, and Eric C. Musa, 20.
PDEA-RO-NCR Director Joel Plaza said the suspects were arrested after they agreed and contacted an undercover agent with the intent to sell illegal drugs at Isabelle Grand Villas, Barangay Moonwalk.
The raiding team pounced on the suspects at around 8:30 p.m.
Seized from them were several pieces of heat-sealed, self-sealing, and knot-tied transparent plastic sachets all containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu.
Also confiscated from the suspects were three cellular phones, one identification card, three black eco bags, one black plastic bag, and buy-bust money.
Plaza said criminal charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Illegal Possession of Illegal Drugs) of Article 2 of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied against the suspects. (Chito A. Chavez)
