GMA has rolled out various efforts for those in need during the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine to fight the covid-19 pandemic.

The network, which recently announced it will provide financial assistance for Kapuso employees, talents, and support personnel, has earmarked an estimated P350 million to cover the salaries, cash equivalent of rice benefits, and cash advances while operating on a skeletal work force and adapting special work arrangements.

GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF), the broadcast giant’s socio-civic arm, also launched the “Labanan ang COVID-19” campaign for the workers at the front lines in the fight against covid19. The funds raised are to be used to purchase face masks, rubbing alcohol, hand sanitizers, and gloves for medical workers of public government hospitals and frontliners at the border points.

Also under the said campaign is the “Operation Bayanihan: COVID-19” fundraising drive, which aims to help Filipinos in poverty stricken areas in Metro Manila.

The network also launched “Buong Puso Para Sa Pilipinas,” a livestreamed effort meant to augment their fund drive and featuring several GMA talents.

Meanwhile, more than 100 Kapamilya stars came together to perform from their own homes for “Pantawid ng Pag-ibig: At-Home Together Concert” that aired over the weekend via ABS-CBN.

Aside from bringing joy and music to Filipinos, the digital concert helped raise funds for “Pantawid ng Pagibig,” a campaign launched by ABS-CBN in partnership with local government officials in Metro Manila and private companies to provide food and basic necessities to Filipinos who are unable to make a living.

To jumpstart the campaign, the Lopez Group donated P100 million for the same.

Those who would like to help may make a cash donation through ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation Inc.-Sagip Kapamilya bank accounts: BPI peso account 3051-11-55-88, Metrobank peso account 636-3-63608808-1, BDO peso account 0039301-14199, Philippine National Bank peso account 1263-7000-4128, and BDO dollar account 103930081622.
