The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) announced Monday the confiscation of more than P42 million worth of shabu in three buy-bust operations in Quezon City and Malabon Citly last Sunday.
PDEA spokesperson Derrick Carreon said that at about 1:45 a.m. Sunday, PDEA agents in coordination with the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested Datu Boy Nasser, Norhana Nasser and Said Ampakay beside a gasoline station on Mindanao Avenue in Barangay Bagong Pag-Asa, Quezon City.
The anti-narcotics agents seized from them suspected shabu worth around P6.8 million, one Mitsubishi Montero, and the buy-bust money.
In a follow-up operation at about 8 a.m., combined elements of the police and PDEA arrested the suspects’ alleged suppliers of shabu identified as Kenneth Pareja Maclan, Dennis Santos Roque, Harold Villasana and Carlito Salazar Biglang-awa at Rockville Subdivision in San Bartolome, Novaliches, Quezon City.
The agents seized from them 1.3 kilos of shabu worth P8.8 million, assorted drug paraphernalia, firearms, and an explosive device.
On the same day at around 6:30 p.m., PDEA and anti-narcotics police arrested Tuan Xi Yuan, a female Chinese national, during a buy-bust operation at Road 25, Dampalit, Malabon City.
The group confiscated from the woman four plastic packs of suspected shabu weighing more or less four kilos worth P27 million, a mobile phone, and the buy-bust money. (Chito Chavez)
