God’s commands

Once a Jew was arguing with a Christian. “Your whole religion is based on ours,” the Jew said. “Why, you even took the 10 Commandments from us.”

Not too long ago a senior lady executive in Makati made news when she lept out from her high-rise office building instantly killing herself. A suicide note was found on her table which read: “I couldn’t bear it anymore. I’m tired of my sickness (lingering cancer) and taking care of my aged mother.”

An SVD missionary in one of the Pacific Islands related how surprised he was one day to be visited in his parish by a woman carrying a handful of sand. “Do you know what this is?” she asked. “It looks like sand,” replied the missionary. “What does this all mean?”
