Carrying the colors of PLDT Home Ultera/MVP Sports Foundation, the Filipinos bagged two golds, one silver and six bronze medals in poomsae, while the Meralco/MVPSF fighters took home one silver and four bronzes in the kyorugi event.

The Filipino poomsae medalists are Darius Venerable (gold in freestyle male individual event), Rodolfo Reyes Jr., Raphael Enrico Mella and Patrick King Perez (gold in authorized male team), Rinna Babanto, Jocel Lyn Ninobla and Aidaine Krishia Laxa, gold in authorized female team), Janna Dominique Oliva (bronze in freestyle female individual) and Jeordan Dominguez, Darius Venerable, Marvin Mori, Juvenile Faye Crisostomo and Janna Dominique Oliva (bronze in freestyle mixed team).

2,500 fighters vie  in nat’l taekwondo

The competition will feature Advance and Novice campaigners in eight divisions namely Senior, Junior, Cadet and Gradeschool both for male and female or the equivalent of 400 teams from 12 PTA chapters in different regions together with ARMM, CAR, CARAGA and NCR, all AFP branches and the PNP.
