Miranda acting AFP chief

Lt. Gen. Glorioso Miranda has been designated as acting chief of staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines until a new one is appointed by the country’s next president.

A former Philippine National Police (PNP) officer and an old hand of the Bureau of Customs (BoC) Intelligence and Investigation Service, Rolando Sacramento, are expected to fill up two recently vacated posts at the BoC, putting a lid on speculations that there is a vacuum of leadership.
