Gov’t to deploy more P2P buses

Modern buses will soon be deployed in Metro Manila streets to augment the transportation needs of commuters particularly those inconvenienced by the constant breakdown of The Manila Metro Rail Transit System 3 (MRT Line 3) traversing EDSA.

An “ambitious” P300-billion subway project will be one of the centerpieces of President Duterte’s economic plan to be completed before his six-year term of office ends in 2022.

Should the Department of Transportation stop using “emergency” and find another word, something bland, maybe? A crisis is bad enough without another crisis, an emergency, to solve it. The solutions are projected to cost P7 trillion, which is another reason senators and congressmen are not keen about assisting in the delivery of such a costly mammoth to another branch of government.

Alan Peter Cayetano, traveled to China prior to President Duterte’s recent state visit to Beijing.
