Binay, son barred from leaving country

The Sandiganbayan Third Division yesterday issued a hold departure order (HDO) against former Vice President Jejomar Binay, his son Jejomar Erwin “Junjun” Binay, and 19 others who are all involved with the anomalous transactions of the P2.28 billion Makati City Hall parking building.

Former Vice President Jejomar C. Binay posted a P376,000 bail before the Sandiganbayan Third Division yesterday after the charges of graft, malversation, and falsification of public documents against him in connection with the allegedly overpriced P2.2-billion Makati City Hall Parking Building 2 were consolidated with the cases of his son former Makati City Mayor Jejomar Erwin S. Binay Jr.

The Ombudsman yesterday filed multiple counts of graft and corruption, malversation, and falsification charges against former Vice President Jejomar C. Binay in connection with his participation in the alleged overpriced construction of the P2.2-billion Makati City Hall Parking Building 2 from 2007 to 2013.
