Women to lead Power-Off protest

Groups composed of homemakers – women – will lead today’s “Power-Off,” a nationwide campaign organized by the Freedom from Debt Coalition (FDC) that is meant to denounce the abhorrently high cost of electricity in the country.

Kindergarten teachers in public schools who have not been compensated since June this year are expected to receive their salaries from the Department of Education (DepEd) soon after the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) released over P1.4 billion to implement the government’s pre-school education program.
