P2B damage from ‘Lawin’

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported yesterday that damage to infrastructure and agriculture in Regions 1, 2, 3, and the Cordillera Administrative Region from typhoon “Lawin” has reached more than P2 billion.

The entire Cagayan Valley regional police were placed under the highest security alert status following an ambush carried out by suspected communist rebels that left six policemen dead and 11 others injured in Baggao, Cagayan.
