More than 1M CoCs filed for May 14 polls

More than one million Certificates of Candidacy have been filed for the May 14 barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections, the Commission on Elections has said.

IT was the first day of filing of Certificates of Candidacy (CoC) for the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections last Saturday, April 14, and “surprisingly, more than what we expected came to file their CoCs,” Commission on Elections (Comelec) spokesman James Jimenez said.
