DepEd bans lead paints

The Department of Education has ordered the mandatory use of lead-safe paints in all public and private elementary and secondary schools nationwide.

In line with its thrust to further strengthen the teaching of the Sciences in schools, the Department of Education (DepEd) is providing some P27 million in subsidies to the country’s special science elementary schools (SSES) nationwide.
