PH economy grows 6.9% in first quarter

The country is now the fastest growing economy in the region following the 6.9 percent growth recorded in the first quarter of the year, Malacañang proudly declared yesterday.

The Philippines is set to become “Asia’s rising tiger” amid string of positive economic signs, most recently the drop in the country’s unemployment rate, Malacañang said on Friday.
