Japan sets date of emperor’s abdication

Japan’s much admired Emperor Akihito is set to abdicate on April 30, 2019, at age 85 in the first such departure from the Chrysanthemum Throne in about 200 years, the government said Friday.

President Duterte is planning to deal with US President Donald Trump “in the most righteous way” when they meet to discuss regional security as well as the campaign against terrorism and drugs next month.
