‘Marcos son’, US national arrested for guns, grenades

A man claiming to be a son of former president Ferdinand Marcos was arrested with an American national Friday morning in Clark, Mabalacat, Pampanga after elements of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group found them in possesion of various high powered guns and grenades.

“When the obstacle is removed and our political aim attained, the war will stop. Nevertheless if the obstacle is not completely swept away, the war will have to continue until the aim is fully accomplished.” Mao Zedong on “Protracted War.”

Short of going straight to Malacañang or Davao City for an answer – even so, the President could prove evasive – the person to consult was Juan Ponce Enrile, architect of Martial Law under Ferdinand Marcos, never mind that it was a happy occasion last Sunday when he was cornered in his house for his reading of Digong’s intentions.
