Aquino, Obama to meet anew

President Benigno S. Aquino III will once again meet United States President Barack Obama. They will meet for the second time at the 19th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit and Related Meetings in Indonesia on November 18.

Malacanang has endorsed to Transportation and Communications Secretary Manuel “Mar” A. Roxas II and Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert F. del Rosario for action the letter of tourism industry leader Robert Lim Joseph to President Benigno S. Aquino III asking him to review Executive Orders (EO) 28 and 29 that he signed last March 14.

Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert F. del Rosario dismissed as nothing but a “grossly irresponsible sabre rattling statement” yesterday the recent warning issued by an influential Chinese newspaper for rival West Philippine Sea (South China Sea) claimants to “prepare for the sounds of cannons” if they do not want to change their ways with China.
