Senate, House ratify TRAIN

The Senate and House of Representatives have ratified the bicameral conference committee report on the proposed Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Act which aims to produce more revenues for the government by raising excise taxes on fuel, sugar-sweetened beverages, and automobiles, among others.

THERE were seven countries in the world providing free college education – Brazil, Germany, Finland, France, Norway, Slovenia, and Sweden. With the approval of the Free Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act, RA 10931, last Thursday, the Philippines now joins these seven.
