But some time in the ‘70s, the late Douglas Quijano cast her as a witch, yes “aswang,” in a Vilma Santos starrer “Lipad, Darna, Lipad.” It seemed unthinkable, but Douglas, an expert in casting, said, “Just wait and see.”
