7 Manila cops relieved over extortion complaints

Seven cops accused of extorting money from vendors in Ermita, Manila, have been relieved from their posts, Manila Police District Director (MPD) director Senior Supt. Joel Coronel said yesterday.

Manila Mayor Joseph E. Estrada yesterday ordered an in-depth investigation of the human skeletal remains discovered in an abandoned house at the Islamic Center in Quiapo, Manila last week.
