Cops told to stop leaking intel reports

The Philippine National Police (PNP) reminded yesterday its personnel to observe extra precautions in handling sensitive intelligence reports especially those in connection with terrorism.

Senators yesterday called for a review of the Anti-Distracted Driving Act as they expressed regret that transportation officials watered down the whole intent of the law with the enforcement of numerous and unnecessary restrictions and limitations against drivers.

Over 75 drivers caught using mobile phones

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) caught more than 75 drivers violating the Anti-Distracted Driving Act through the “no contact apprehension” policy on the first few hours of enforcement of the law yesterday.

Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board Chairman Martin Delgra confirmed that Duterte has instructed them to give P20,000 in cash to the families of the victims who were killed in the crash. The 43 passengers who were injured were said to have received P10,000 each.
