‘Vinta’ kills 200

Some 200 people have been killed due to tropical storm “Vinta” (international name “Tembin”) that triggered heavy flooding and landslides that have ravaged towns and displaced thousands in Mindanao.

At least two weather systems will prevail over the country today, bringing scattered rains that could trigger flash floods or landslides over low-lying and mountainous areas, according to the government weather bureau.
