Judges, court employees ask Chief Justice to quit

The Philippine Judges Association and four court employees’ organizations have asked Chief Justice-on leave Maria Lourdes P. A. Sereno to resign to save the Judiciary from “disrepute” that “affects the honor and integrity of justices, judges, and court employees.”

The absence in tomorrow’s impeachment hearing of Supreme Court Senior Associate Justice Antonio Carpio does not bear any impact on the strength of the impeachment complaint against Chief Justice Ma. Lourdes Sereno, complainant Lorenzo Gadon said yesterday.
