Superintendent Marvin Marcos and 18 other policemen surrendered following the issuance of arrest warrants against them for the killing of Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa.

Members of the Criminal Detection Group (CIDG) and PNP Maritime Police who are facing murder charges for the killing of Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa Jr. and inmate Raul Yap are now detained at the CIDG-8 office.

Sen. Leila M. de Lima said yesterday that the admission of President Duterte that he ordered the reinstatement of Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Region 8 chief Supt. Marvin Marcos who allegedly received protection money from suspected drug lord Kerwin Espinosa should be the subject of a Senate inquiry.
