Act in murdered transsexuals – LGBT

Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) organizations have called on President Aquino to solve the increasing number of transexuals killed in recent years. The plea was aired as LGBT groups commemorated the Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) in Quezon City, lighting candles and reading poetry in memory of 100 transexual victims of murders all over the world.

A worried Chinese government rejected political and military support for the Mindanao Independence Movement (MIM) as requested by the late Datu Udtog Matalam.

There is little likelihood that thousands of farmers in South Cotabato would lose irrigation water on account of operation of the Tampakan Copper-Gold Project. A review of the environmental impact assessment (EIA) of the project of Sagittarius Mines Inc. (SMI) showed that the main source of water for the farms in the valleys is Mount Matutum, a protected area south of the 9,600-hectare mine site.

Strict rules in the European Union, US, Japan, and Australia are forcing government and food exporters to impose stringent rules on processing to compete in these markets. Speaking at the Agribusiness Investment Forum at the Department of Agriculture (DA) this week, Karen Roscom of the Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Products Standards (BAFPS) said the detention of food exports could potentially harm Philippine corporations and reduce its share in countries with highly clinical standards.
