The issue on the full-scale or small-scale implementation of the Dengvaxia immunization program of the government is now water under the bridge but there is still a need to dig deeper into the matter because it is linked to the corruption angle of this case.

In these next few days, our senators and congressmen have to resolve their differences on the National Budget for 2018. Or, leaders of the House of Representatives have warned, the 2017 National Budget will have to be reenacted.

IN a survey conducted by the Social Weather Stations (SWS) last September 23-27, 47 percent of the respondents said they consider their families poor. It was three points higher than the 44 percent in the previous survey in June. The 47 percent who deemed their families poor in September were described by SWS as 10.9 million families – 800,000 more families than in June.

UNITED States President Donald Trump, addressing a joint session of the US Congress last Tuesday, called for a trillion-dollar program to rebuild what he described as America’s “crumbling infrastructure.” He said he will ask Congress to approve legislation that will produce $1 trillion – in both public and private capital – to rebuild the country’s roads, bridges, airports, and other public infrastructures.
