Marcos reinstatement defended

Malacañang has defended President Duterte’s decision to reinstate a police official implicated in the killing of Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr. at the Leyte sub-provincial jail in Baybay City last year, saying rule of law was not at all disregarded.

Sen. Alan Peter S. Cayetano has assured the Filipino community in Geneva, Switzerland that the government does not tolerate impunity and other abuses within the Philippine National Police.

Such cleansing needs the support of Interior and Local Government Secretary Ismael Sueno and President Rodrigo Duterte.
