Millions in cash seized from ship’s passenger

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) intercepted a passenger ship carrying more than P8-million in cash concealed in a box bound for Malaysia Tuesday at Zamboanga City Port.

The government has set aside P271.9 billion to protect the country’s security, public order, and safety as well as guard territorial waters under the proposed 2018 national budget.
